Fronius Solar Battery

Fronius was founded in 1945 by Gunter Fronius and since then has grown to be a major company with more than 3,250 employees across 21 international subsidiaries, 425 of which are employed in research and development. Despite its size Fronius remains privately owned and is very financially stable having been award a No 1 rating by Dun and Bradstreet.

Battery charging has always been a part of the heritage of Fronius and the Fronius lithium-ion solar battery is now available.

The Fronius solar battery is compatible with the following hybrid solar inverters

1. Fronius Symo Hybrid
2. Fronius Primo Hybrid (when available)

The Fronius solar battery uses safe, hi performance lithium-ion phosphate cells manufactured by Sony and comes in the following sizes:

1. 4.5 kWhs
2. 6 kWhs
3. 7 kWhs
4. 9 kWhs
5. 10.5kWhs
6. 12 kWhs

The system is expandable meaning you can start with a 4.5kWh battery bank and expand the system by simply adding additional 1.5kWh cells until you reach the maximum capacity of 12kWhs. Additional cells must be added within 30 months of the original installation to prevent battery cell mismatch.
