Unlike traditional solar hot water system the Rinnai Evacuated tube solar hot water system does not use standard flat plate collectors rather they use a number of glass tubes that rapidly absorb heat and transfer that heat to the header plate and then into the water flowing through the header.

Evacuated tube systems are available in both the Prestige and Sunmaster range of tanks with either 20, 25 or 30 tubes.
